About Callsave
Callsave was set up in 1993. It was initially tasked to provide world-wide callback services to
counter the then very high cost of overseas calls, mainly to ethnic and religious groups.
With the increase in personal travel and the spread of migration, the demand grew for a cheaper rate for
international calls. Travellers needed a way to keep in touch with home and office, and migrants
needed a cheap way to stay in touch with loved ones and family. Callsave has been prominent in the
provision of this service.
In 1999 this hugely popular service was expanded to include Direct Dial services within
Australia.
Deregulation of the Telecomms industry quickly caused overseas call rates to become much more
affordable and more efficiently managed.
Consequent to the huge reductions in overseas call rates, Callsave discontinued callback services in
2004, concentrating solely on Direct Dial within Australia.
Today that is all we do .. that is, specialise in long distance services. Our goal is to provide our
customers with the best and most affordable long distance facility in Australia.
We must be doing something right as our continued growth comes mostly from word-of-mouth recommendations
from existing and past customers. Because we are a small company, we offer a friendly and very personal service
larger companies are unable to provide. Uniquely, you will always talk to a real
